THE PARALEGAL WRITER™

I met Jackie (a/k/a The Paralegal Writer™) through an introduction from Linda McGrath- Cruz in one of Linda’s Perfectly Paralegal® Facebook groups. When I decided to sit for the NALA certification test and after passing the knowledge portion in 2020, I knew I needed more than a YouTube video to help me study for the skills portion. I was lucky to have known Jackie and signed up for her signature Pen A Memo™ course. During that course, Jackie provided valuable feedback and instilled confidence in me which little did I know at the time I would draw from on the day of my skills exam. I experienced an unexpected adventure at the testing site which rattled me, to say the least. Despite this, I passed the NALA skills test on my first attempt thanks to the instruction and feedback Jackie provided. Not only that, but I also use one of the memos I drafted in the class as a writing sample. The next course I took with Jackie was in 2023, Mastering Legal Research Using Lexis+. Despite having overcommitted myself at the time, I grasped beneficial legal research skills that I put to good use only one year later. I utilize the skills Jackie taught me in my current position as a Judicial Administrative Assistant to an Arkansas Supreme Court Justice. I am thrilled to be enrolled in a third class with Jackie, Legal Scribble Sessions™. I cannot wait to embark on a new learning experience with Jackie. I cannot thank Jackie enough for her instrumental assistance in my professional development.
